Poetry Love Revolution

A poem from the poet and love activist, Åsmund Seip. Whose work inspired and continues to inspire me.
From his book 100 Days for the Earth:

” Today is a day for the unstoppable. The part of you that will never give up. Patient beyond measures, so patient it will watch you go through life after life. Birth after birth. Death after death. Gracefully waiting, it never gives up. Because there is nothing to give up. I mean you can not give up, yourself. You can think you can, you can even believe you can. But you can not give up, yourself. The part of you that is you, is waiting to come alive. It is unstoppable and it will come alive. It is simply a question of when. Without judgement. Sooner is not better than later. You will come alive. You will experience the full experience of being you. And in a way you already are. And yet a smaller part of you holds on so hard, defending its position as your whole and only reality. Its fine. Mine does too. It is a beautiful, lovable part of us that makes us human. Trying to understand it is fine. Trying to change it and mend it and break out of it is fine. Trying to find peace with it is also fine, at the same time the unstoppable part of you that never gives up is still, here. It looks at you with curious eyes, with eyes filled with the very love you have spent life times chasing. It looks at you. At you. And in the moment you start looking back, everything changes. “
